8 Festival Must Haves For 2016
Hello again, it’s us (no, not Adele, it’s Bandy!). The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, which means that spring has sprung! Apart from lots and LOTS of delicious chocolate and cute bunny rabbits, the next best thing about spring is that festival season is FAST approaching. Whether you’re going to be dancing the night away in a roasting hot climate or trekking through knee high mud in the UK — we’ve got your fashion tips covered!
Hats are chic in theory until you notice your beloved fedora crowd surfing from the top of your head to the front of a Bieber concert. So, if you’re not a ‘belieber’ in losing your hat, we recommend a lovely flower headband to jazz up your outfit.
2. Mirrored Sunglasses
Dress like you’re already famous! Sunglasses are the ultimate accessory for festival fashion, whether you’re protecting yourself from UV rays or hiding tired eyes after dancing in the moonlight.
3. Fringe Anything
All the festival queens have rocked fringing for years, from Kate Moss to boho babe Vanessa Hudgens. Fringing for festivals isn’t a new trend, but it’s back with a BANG for 2016!
4. Bucket Bags
Embrace the 70’s trend with a cool bucket bag. With all your belongings packed away in your backpack, you will have two free hands to throw in the air (like you just don’t care).
Laces are not just for your shoes. A key trend for 2016 festival fashion is lace up tops. You can wear these with a bright coloured bandeau underneath for a pop of colour.
6. Metallic Tattoos
Accessorise your body with beautiful gold and silver temporary tattoos for a touch of sparkle. These look great with a bikini in the sun, or to add glamour to a boho outfit. FYI, our favourite brand is Flash Tattoos at flashtat.com.
7. Comfortable Trainers
If you’re going to be dancing like no ones watching and walking for miles and miles, comfortable shoes are a must. Converse are a good option as they go with everything and look stylish. However, keep in mind that the ground might be VERY squelchy and therefore welly boots are a must!
8. Extra Layer
Even in the hottest climates it can be cold in the evening. It’s a good idea to tie a jumper or shirt around your waist in the day, so that you can pop it on at night. Oversized men’s shirts and jumpers look great.
