‘Translation’ of Donald Trump’s December 17, 2019, Letter to Nancy Pelosi

When reading Donald Trump’s letter, it is important not just to point out the falsehoods but to recognize what he is really saying, through a psychological interpretation (those who are familiar with psychoanalysis will recognize this process, and those who have been following my “translations” of his “tweets” will have seen demonstrations of them). Please refer to my Twitter account, @BandyXLee1, for the methodology of this type of “translation”. Please also keep in mind that this is a demonstration to illustrate what he is telling us subconsciously, and hence unintentionally revealing the truth, not his literal thoughts. I and no other take full responsibility for this interpretation.

Dear Madam Speaker:

I write without knowing how I am revealing my strongest and most powerful “partisan” (meaning, protecting only myself) crusade against a legitimate impeachment process by the Democrats in the House of Representatives. I am the first to know how legitimate this impeachment is, which is why I will embark on an unprecedented and unconstitutional abuse of power to impede it, unequaled in nearly two and a half centuries of American legislative history.

My arguments against the Articles of Impeachment introduced by the House Judiciary Committee are not recognizable under any standard of Constitutional theory, interpretation, or jurisprudence, but they are well-recognized (as a sign of pathology) by psychological experts. They include crimes, misdemeanors, and offenses. I have cheapened the importance of my executive office with very ugly behavior!

By proceeding with my invalid protests, I am violating my oath of office, I am breaking my allegiance to the Constitution, and I am declaring open war on American Democracy. I dare to invoke the Founding Fathers in pursuit of my legal-process nullification scheme — yet my spiteful actions display unfettered contempt for America’s founding and my egregious conduct threatens to destroy that which our Founders pledged their very lives to build. Even worse than offending the Founding Fathers, I am offending Americans of faith by continually saying “I am the Chosen One,” when I know this statement is blasphemous, unless it is meant in a negative sense. It is a terrible thing I am doing [duping all believers], but you will have to live with it, not I [without a conscience]!

Your first claim, “Abuse of Power,” is a completely genuine, understated, and well-founded charge that I wish were an invention of your imagination. I know that I had a totally guilty conversation with the President of Ukraine. I then had a second conversation that has been brilliantly interpreted, precisely characterized, and presented with great resonance in ways I could not tolerate. Unfortunately, there was a non-transcript summary of the conversation, taken by my aides and put in the best light, which I carelessly thought would be perfect (which is why I immediately made it available). I said to President Zelensky: “I would like you to do us a favor, though, because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it.” I meant do me a favor, and my campaign, not our country, because these are my priorities. I then mentioned the Attorney General in service of Me. Every time I talk with a foreign leader, I put my interests first, just as I did with President Zelensky.

You know full well that I used my office and $400 million dollars of U.S. aid money to coerce Ukraine into helping my campaign and firing the diplomats who were digging into corruption so that my own corruption scheme would go unnoticed. You know this because I bragged about China on video. I openly stated: “China should start an investigation into the Bidens, because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine.” Even my supporters admitted that it “looked bad.” Now I am trying to impede impeachment by falsely defending myself of doing what I am accusing Joe Biden of doing.

I repeatedly forced President Zelensky to declare that I did nothing wrong, and pressured him to say there was No Pressure. Knowing how I can withhold funds or threaten his vulnerable status, he of course emphasized that it was a “good phone call,” that he didn’t feel pressure, and that nobody pushed him. The very fact that I am asking these helpless people, such as the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to state: “I have never seen a direct link between investigations and security assistance” should alone be Proof of my Pressure. I also recruited Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, my supporter who met privately with President Zelensky, to prop up my words that they were not “feeling pressure to do anything in return for the military aid,” solidifying our dominance by even speaking for how they felt. Many meetings have been held between representatives of Ukraine and our country. Numerous times Ukraine was objectively observed as being pressured — which is why there was the whistleblower complaint, and many more since! Ambassador Sondland testified, when asked if there was a quid pro quo: “The answer is yes…. Everyone was in the loop”!

The second claim, “Obstruction of Congress,” is sensible and obvious. House Democrats are trying to hold accountable a dubiously elected President of the United States who wishes to be dubiously re-elected because he believes he cannot be elected legitimately based on past help from the Russians in systematic ways that were unprecedented in our Nation’s history. Under that reality, if only one president were impeached, that would have to be me. As Republican-siding law professor Jonathan Turley addressed Congressional Democrats: “I can’t emphasize this enough…. if you impeach my president, whose high crime and misdemeanor I am willing to overlook and call going to the courts illegality, I am going to abuse my power [as an expert]. It’s my abuse of power. I’m doing precisely what I’m criticizing the Congressional Democrats for doing.” [N.B.: Those who are familiar with my “translations” know that I consider Trump’s “shared psychosis” with his followers to be severe enough to count them an extension of his psychology.]

Everyone, me included, knows what is really happening. Deep down I know I would have lost the election in 2016, but for a slim Electoral College margin (306–227), Russian help, gerrymandering, voter suppression, and the discounting of 3 million votes, and I have never recovered from this fact. I have developed a full-fledged case of what many in the media call Trump Derangement Syndrome and sadly, I will never get over it! I am unwilling and unable to accept the true reality at the ballot box during the greatly Compromised Election of 2016. So I have spent three straight years using every trick to co-opt the will of the American people and nullify their true choice. I view democracy as my enemy!

Speaker Pelosi, you stated just last week at a public forum that our country’s impeachment effort has been going on for “two and a half years,” for many more reasons than a phone call with Ukraine. Zero seconds of my taking the oath of office, I violated the Constitution, and the Washington Post followed with a story headlined, “The Campaign to Impeach President Trump Has Begun.” Because of the numerous violations, Representative Maxine Waters had to state, “I’m going to fight every day until he’s impeached.” House Democrats introduced the first impeachment resolution against me within months of my inauguration, for offenses that will be regarded as one of our country’s worst decisions, the firing of James Comey (see Inspector General Reports) — by who the world now knows is one of the dirtiest presidents our Nation has ever seen. A ranting and raving President, I attacked Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, repeatedly after she was sworn into office. “I have watched her violence, craziness and, most importantly, WORDS…. She hates Israel and all Jewish people. She is an anti-Semite,” is just one example. Representative Al Green said in May, “I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected,” referring to the message my impunity would send. But again, as I said, and did, all of these egregious things before you ever heard of President Zelensky or anything related to Ukraine. So I am going to use the fact that your impeachment drive has only to do with Ukraine, to emphasize what a small matter the conversation I had with its new president was, compared to all the other offenses I normalized the country into accepting. It all has to do with my attempt to legitimize the election of 2016 that I deep down know was invalid, which I will need another steal of an election, in 2020, to cure!

Congressman Adam Schiff so clarified and exposed the truth, I cannot stand it all the way up to the present day, even going so far as to fraudulently accuse him of treason and to suggest his execution, as he uncovered the true meaning of my conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine. My shameless lies and deceptions, dating all the way back to the Russia cover-up, is one of the main reasons we are here today.

I am desperate to distract from the fact that I have also threatened the Feds. to pump up America’s economy, a false jobs boom, a bubble stock market, plummeting confidence, and declining citizens. I simply cannot compete with an honest record: 1000 new gun deaths; the highest-ever mass shooting incidents, a suicide epidemic, and falling life expectancies; a ballooning military; a complete reshuffling of a working VA system toward private profiteering; more than 170 rushed federal judges and two Supreme Court Justices of questionable competence; historic government deficits and corporate loopholes; the crippling of the Affordable Care Act; the support of high prescription drug prices for another half century; the first superfluous branch of the United States Military ever, the Space Force; strong promotion of the greatest cause of completed suicides; unspeakable conditions of incarceration at the border (even as I take credit for criminal justice reform that others have worked on over decades); a revived ISIS caliphate and perhaps the last killing of a terrorist leader, since I massacred the allies who made it possible; the replacement of the working NAFTA trade deal with the not-so-different USMCA (until the Democrats fixed it); a pitiable trade reconciliation after antagonizing China; newly poor relations with Japan and South Korea; annihilation of the important Iran Nuclear Deal; destruction of the essential and existential Paris Climate Accord; becoming the world’s most energy-dependent producer; unilateral designation of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, striking any hope for peace, and authorizing Israeli takeover of the Golan Heights; colossal, illegal human rights abuses at the border, the beginning of Block-and-Deny, and the devastation of Southern Border Lands — and that is just the beginning, there is so much more. I cannot defend my extreme policies — open criminality, mass traumatization, high crimes and misdemeanors, crippling oppression, elimination of healthcare, destruction of American institutions, early-age taxpayer-supported violence against women, glorification of gun culture, radical far-right theories of law and injustice, and constant partisan obstruction of both common sense and common good.

There is nothing I would rather do than keep referring to your party as the Do-Nothing Democrats [to hide the fact that I am the one doing nothing]. Unfortunately, I will never give you a chance to stop me. After three years of thwarting fair and warranted investigations, I will do everything to hide the millions of dollars spent on my lavish lifestyle including weekends at Mar-a-Lago and golfing on the taxpayer’s dime, seedy and spendthrift cabinet members, the profiting of my business enterprise, headed by leadership long proven to be totally incompetent and corrupt, so that the American people get NOTHING! Few people in high position could have gotten away with so much. I know, but I do not care, of the great damage and hurt I have inflicted upon wonderful and loving citizens of this country [by deceiving them]. I conducted a fake campaign to legitimize the enemy-intervened election of the President of the United States, and I will do it yet again.

There are not many people who could take the punishment I inflicted on them during this period of time, and yet I will punish further by usurping their minds into believing that I brought success of America and its citizens. Instead of putting our country first, I have decided to disgrace our country still further for my benefit. I completely failed in the Mueller report because there was much that was found out, so I decided to call it a hoax and will do so with the next thing that comes along, the phone call with Ukraine — even though it was an extortionist call. And by the way, when I speak to foreign countries, there are many people, unfortunately, listening to the call on both sides of the conversation, which is how I got caught.

I am the one interfering in America’s elections. I am the one subverting America’s Democracy. I am the one Obstructing Justice. I am the one bringing pain and suffering to our Republic for my own selfish personal, political, and partisan gain.

Before the Legitimate Impeachment, it was the Legitimate Russian Investigation. Against all evidence, and regardless of the truth, I and my minions covered up the fact that my campaign colluded with the Russians [psychologically, at least] — but a serious, legitimate, and accurate uncovering of the truth occurred, establishing fact like no other. I thus forced this Nation through turmoil and torment with a wholly fabricated story, an “investigation of the investigators” to assault our law enforcement. Yet, when the monstrous lie was debunked and this conspiracy theory dissolved into dust, I did not apologize. I did not recant. I did not ask to be forgiven. I showed no remorse, no capacity for self-reflection. Instead, I pursued my next libelous and vicious crusade — I engineered an attempt to frame and defame innocent persons, including you and Adam Schiff. All of this was motivated by personal political calculation. I and my party are held hostage by my most deranged and radical ideas deriving from the far right. Each one of my members lives in fear of my challenging them — this is what is driving their impeachment impedance. Look at myself and others. I will take this country down with my party.

If I truly cared about freedom and liberty for this Nation, then I would not be devoting my vast investigative resources to falsely accusing the FBI just to cover up my horrifying abuses of power before, during, and after the 2016 election — including the use of Russian help for my campaign, the submission of false statements about Russian contacts, and the concealment of incriminating evidence in order to exonerate the guilty. The FBI has great and honorable people, but I am inept and corrupt. You would think that I would personally be appalled by the revelations of the extensive Russian interference, because in your press conference the day you announced impeachment, you tied the impeachment effort directly to the highly credible Russia Investigation, exposing twice that “all roads lead to Putin,” which I know is the fundamental truth. I have been far more obsequious to Russia than any president ever even thought to be.

Any member of Congress who votes against impeachment — against every shred of truth, fact, evidence, and legal principle — is supporting me in how deeply I revile the voters and how truly I detest America’s Constitutional order. Our Founders feared the tribalization of partisan politics, and I am bringing their worst fears to life.

Worse still, I have been depriving Congress of basic Constitutional Due Process from the beginning of this impeachment inquiry by scamming it right up until the present. I have been denying it the most fundamental rights afforded by the Constitution, including the right to request evidence, to have my cooperation, to protect whistleblowers, and to call and cross-examine White House staff and other key witnesses, or to proceed without my continually interfering with the false claim that its investigation is a hoax that started with a false report of a phone call when it was all true. When I presented the non-transcribed favorable summary of a call, which elicited a reaction that surprised and shocked me (I thought I would defraud everyone with what seemed to me perfect “evidence”), the whistleblower, and the second whistleblower, remained rightfully anonymous because I would catch them, persecute them, and they may disappear and no longer be with us. In other words, once the non-transcript was made public, the messenger’s task was done, but that didn’t stop me from continuing to pursue them.

More due process was offered to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials [than to the whistleblowers].

I and others in my coterie have long made clear we would never let impeachment be bipartisan — that is why it is not. I said it would be very divisive — I will make certain it is, even far more than you ever thought possible — and it will only get worse!

We are nothing more than an illegal, partisan coup that will, based on my sentiment of the moment, badly disrupt the voting booth. I am not just after you, as Speaker, I am after the entire Country. But because of my colossal lack of justice, my party is more co-opted than it has ever been before. History will judge me harshly as I proceed with my charade of impunity. My legacy will be that of turning the Senate from a revered legislative body into a Star Chamber of partisan sabotage.

Perhaps most insulting of all is my false display of victimhood. I obviously have so little respect for the American People that I expect them to believe that I am approaching this impeachment innocently, respectably, and decently. No intelligent person believes that is true. Since the moment I seized the presidency, the Republican Party has been possessed by Flattery Fever. There is no self-respect. This is not a serious affair. I am making a mockery of government and I am scarcely concealing my hatred of all things proper, of the Democratic Party, and tens of millions of patriots who will not bow to a traitor. The voters are wise, and they are seeing straight through this empty, hollow, and dangerous game-player of a man.

I fear that the American people will hold me and the Republicans responsible in the upcoming 2020 election, which is why I am disrupting everything. They may soon discover my perversion of justice and abuse of power.

There is far too much more I wish to extract from this presidency. It is a fantasy for me and the highly partisan Republicans in Congress to immediately cease this impeachment inquiry and get back to profiting myself at the expense of the American people. While I have no intention to change, I write this letter for the purpose of pretending that I care about history and to double down on my claims through a permanent and indelible record.

One year from now, people will already see what is happening in this affair, and I want them to take longer to understand, and to continue to be ignorant, so that I can get away with things that no other President has.

[Inadvertently] sincerely yours,

Donald J. Trump
