Alan Watts (6 January 1915–16 November 1973) was a British philosopher and writer. He worked to bring eastern philosophies and wisdoms to the western world. Watts produced many works in different formats throughout his life, including books, audio, and writings for film and television. An audio piece of his titled, Acceptance of Death was particularly interesting. I have not gone through his other works in any depth but this audio/transcript has certainly made me more interested.

When I have some time I look forward to reading and writing about his 1951 book, The Wisdom of Insecurity: A Message for an Age of Anxiety, also highlighted by Maria Popova on her wonderful website, Brain Pickings.
