This graphic is another great argument for using gender-neutral pronouns in hypotheticals. By switching between the male and female in the different examples, you can’t help implying that men are enthusiastic and hyper, while women are overly emotional and temperamental. It’s beyond time for the English language to just accept they/their/them as a gender-neutral pronoun option that can be evolved to include theoretical singular/unknown quantity.
