We’ve been in Fukuoka for 4 days. We planned to go to Ohori Park, then to Fukuoka Tower.

Enjoy walking in Ohori-Park with the Strongest Sunshine.

To get to Ohiri Park from Sumiyoshi, we can take the subway from Gion Station to Ohorikoen Station. First, we need to go to the basement of Gion Station, following the signs for the ‘Kuko Line’ (Orange Line). Then, we can purchase tickets from the vending machine there.

Summer in Fukuoka

We walked around a bit in Ohori Park before heading into the subway to travel to Nishijin Station. It’s really hot!!! (It’s Summer!)

The journey from Fukuoka Tower to Nishijin Station took only 25 minutes. It was particularly hot, especially considering we had to walk the entire way. We took a short rest near Seinan Gakuin University.

After about 10 minutes of walking, we arrived at the Fukuoka City Museum. This museum, well-regarded for its clarity and presentation, is located in the Seaside Momochi Area. It ranks among the famous tourist spots of Fukuoka City, alongside attractions such as Fukuoka Tower and Momochi Seaside Park.

Fukuoka City Museum

The Fukuoka City Museum showcases the history of Fukuoka, a city that has developed as a hub of international exchanges in the Asian Region since ancient times. The museum houses the national treasure, the Gold Seal, as a permanent exhibit.

The Signature Gold seal “replica” is one of the popular museum items for souvenir.

Robot Square

In this area, you can walk to the TNC Television Building, where Robosquare is located on the 2nd floor.

Robot Square

We can play and interact with the robots on display. Not to be missed is the robotic seal, which responds to being petted and stroked. You can also converse with the Hello Kitty robot.

STEM Robotic Classroom

The STEM robotics classroom is very interesting. It was a great experience for the kids. And finally, we’ve reached Fukuoka Tower. It has a nice view, though there isn’t much else of interest.

View from Fukuoka Tower

We could visit Momochi Seaside Park and Marizon before coming back to Gion Station.

The crowd was diverse, ranging from families and couples to groups of students flaunting their attractive physiques. (Of course, girls in bikinis are always a sight to behold.) We visited a ramen restaurant near Gion Station called I-Chi. We made an excellent decision, as Fukuoka is famous for its Hakata-style ramen.

It wasn’t a long dinner because we have to work on our project tonight. Goodbye!
