[User Guide] How to use Aavegotchi with a Guild Wallet #02. Buy Gotchis

Hello guild wallet fam!

This is part 2 of our series on Aavegotchi game.
We’ll walk you through how to purchase Gotchi.

Gotchi can be purchased in two ways.
First, you can buy it with GHST tokens.
Second, you can borrow someone else’s Gotchi to use.

How to buy with GHST tokens

First, how to make a purchase with GHST tokens.
Log in with Wallet Connect on the Aavegotchi homepage.

1. Click the <Play now> button.

2. Click the <Open Baazaar> button.

3. Tap the <Connect wallet> button.

4. Tap the <Wallet connect> button.

5. A QR code will be generated to connect to your wallet. Please stop here and open the Guild Wallet app.

6. Click the icon in the top left corner.

7. Click the <Wallet Connect> button.

8. Scan the Aavegotchi QR code you created in step 5.

9. Press the <Network> button.

10. Change to <Polygon>.

11. Click the <Confirm> button.

12. Select the Gotchi you want, purchase them, and you’re done!

How to borrow Gotchi

To rent Gotchi, you’ll need a small amount of Matic and GHST tokens. Please make sure you have these tokens in your own wallet.

1. Go to aadventure.io.

2. Click the Lending button.

3. Click the Manager button.

4. Enter the owner’s address of the Gotchi you want to borrow.
- If you have a Gotchi you’d like to borrow, ask for the owner’s address on the Aavegotchi Discord!
- If you borrow an address, you will share a portion of the proceeds from the game activity with the Gotchi owner.

5. Click on <Use this address>.

6. Hang the filters as shown in the image above.
✅ Lending : listed, Taking a break
✅ Channeling : Can channel now

7. Review the information in the blue box and click the ID you want to borrow from Listing ID.

8. Click the <Approve to Spend GHST> button.

9. Click the <Confirm> button in your guild wallet.
- If you press the Confirm button, the transaction fee for the smart contract will be incurred.

10. Press the <Borrow for GHST> button.
- After pressing the button, you will pay the Gotchi rental fee.

11. Press the <Confirm> button on your Guild Wallet.
- Pressing the Confirm button will incur a transaction fee for the smart contract.

12. When the button changes to Already agreed, the Gotchi rental is complete!
