Pursue Your Desire, Not Your Passion (There’s a Difference)
Brianna Wiest

I’m confused. Joseph Campbell said “Follow your bliss.” where does “bliss” fall on your spectrum? I’d say it’s more than desire — I’d say it’s passion, but not passion as you have defined it. Don’t know where you got your definitions….your definition sounds more like ‘obsession’ than passion. As a retired psychologist, I’d say that passion can be healthy and controllable.

Personally, I’d want to have work that was more than ‘desirable’ — I’d want to have work that I love! Life is too short not to shoot for this…
