This story brings back nightmares of my time in the ER.

Cops would bring in bruised and beaten, nearly unconscious, people in ketoacidosis, following a traffic stop.

Seems the driver was weaving, presumably drunk, was confused, which led to the use of excessive force.

Back in those days, NO ONE openly questioned the need for using force.

The diabetic person “had it coming” for failure to take care of himself.

I wonder if this still happens???

Does law enforcement training include distinguishing between hypoglycemia and intoxication?
