This article reminded me of the corruption in politics, in the media and in the very “judicial” system which was ostensibly designed to make laws.

Enforcers of these laws are only as good as the system which created their need.

I am , at times, mortified to realize we live in a culture, right here in the US, where it is LEGAL for a cop to confiscate assets, such as cash, if there is suspicion of a crime. Houses, cars…all manner of valuables…all terrain being stolen from innocent people with no legal recourse for recovery!!!!

Take these things from drug dealers, people who actually commit crimes! I support that practice since these assets may have been ill gotten.

Stealing from innocent, law abiding citizens, however, is inexcusable and a direct reflection on the judiciary.
