Cooper and Raddatz were too busy *participating* in the debate to moderate. Cooper frequently — and unexpectedly — interrupted Trump, once demanding he define himself and his terms <?> unnecessarily.
Raddatz actually countered one of Trump’s statements as if to negate it. BOTH of them from time to time actually interceded to deflect Trump’s charges against Clinton: her acts of violation of trust and laws, charges we actually all know now as fact. They interrupted Trump a lot, Clinton almost never..and only when she had exceeded her time 15–20 seconds, and they still let her “conclude”. The illusion they projected was that they were trying to protect a sweet little old lady from a big bad wolf…Freaking bizarre, if you know what Hillary has always been about.
To answer your questions though, neither moderator had the time nor any inclination to ask what could RESULT from the stubborn intentions of both candidates to initiate a no-fly zone over Syria if elected. Nuclear war with Russia was not considered an attractive point to ponder, or to bring up before the general public as an inevitable result, one supposes.
It was truly bizarre — blatant bias, and let me assure you that I support neither of these alleged “qualified candidates”.
But to be honest, I was perplexed. It was almost as if I were watching a choreographed ballet. The Donald would make an factual statement about Hillary’s history in an obnoxious way, the camera would pan back and forth all along to Clinton who would be just BEAMING, a wide smile across her face, and then she would “bat” all of Donald’s words aside and say that none of it was true, shaking her head, as if to say well if HE says it, you KNOW it’s not true…and then proceed to a run of the mill talking point. This was her “deconstruction” tactic. Use Donald the idiot to soft lob the facts to her so she could tie them to him and then deflate them.
Her main screw up was when she addressed the ONE AND ONLY reference to the recently released Wikileak emails, the one in which she said she had a public and a private opinion. Trump’s attack on that seemed to make her wobble, and she came across as trying to equate her lying with something sort of similar that Lincoln said, and saying that the emails were a russkie plot to affect the US election, implying that, therefore, any patriotic American would completely disregard them, even if they were true. Laughable. And the audience DID laugh at her..and were admonished severely by Cooper.
But like I said, it appeared staged and choreographed. The entire thing, moderators, personally offended by Trump and coming to Hill’s defense, countering some of Trumps points, and the audience questions were … pretty much talking point ops.
Then there was Trump “looming”, appearing almost physically threatening, over the ‘petite lady’ when they both ambled around on the stage making various….pretty irrelevant — point-counterpoints — really. Choreographed.
The debates make one thing clear as glass~~
The only candidate worth her salt is Jill Stein. She is not a pretender.
Her plan in the Mideast is simple and effective: shut down the pipeline supply of armaments and munitions to ISIS and thereby shut down the war. No bullets, bombs and missiles= no war. The US is the largest supplier of war materiels to the region… ultimately pipelined by profiteers to ISIS. In more recent years, U.S. annual sales of arms have risen to around $50–60 billion. Israel does its part in keeping the war going, declared the world’s 4th largest arms dealer way back in 2007, surpassing Britain — its updated sales include drones and radar systems. Israel has also earned a questionable reputation for the percentage of its sales — usually of shells, rifles and ammunition — that go to war-torn countries and controversial regimes, analysts said. DO you see the pattern. War is big business. Time to shut it all down.
1949 -1997 the U.S. had given Israel a total of $83.205 billion. The interest costs borne by U.S. tax payers on behalf of Israel are $49.937 billion, thus making the total amount of aid given to Israel since 1949 $133.132 billion. Currently the interest free and ultimately “forgiven”loan debt is $ 3.8 billion or so annually, not counting $1–3 billion in private tax deductible donations via Israeli charities. This may mean that U.S. government has given more federal aid to the average Israeli citizen in a given year than it has given to the average American citizen.
If the other countries want to go at it, let them. Diplomacy is the only way to end the infighting, defuse growing terrorism. That and yake away the means to wage war that we and our allies have been providing.
BTW, even Ron Paul said Jill Stein’s international plan was far superior to any one else’s.
Jill’s plan is also to gradually bring our military dollars back home by closing many of the US’s SEVEN HUNDRED MILITARY BASES around the world. How do they defend us? What is their purpose, exactly? Are they clandestine shipping routes for more we don’t know about? Who knows? Time to begin to whittle them down and use that money more wisely on infrastructure, a workable medical program, on AMERICA. That’s just damn insane. The other countries COMBINED maintain fewer than FIFTY BASES GLOBALLY.
Jill will initiate and incentivize renewable energy development programs at an accelerated rate in the US and effect a labor cross-over as the need for fossil fuel declines. Incentives, a huge boost in JOB opportunities, and ultimately a reduced energy cost for the country’s residents will be the result, not to mention a healthier environment.
It’s a no-brainer.
WARMONGERS-RESOURCE DESPOILERS, 1% ELITISTS
PEACEMAKING, CESSATION OF WAR, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT. REDUCED ENERGY COSTS. ELIMINATION OF FRACKING AND its LAND INSTABILITY AND soil and water CONTAMINATION, ALONG WITH PIPELINE-LEAK CONTAMINATION.
STEIN WILL PUT GUIDELINES IN PLACE TO PROTECT OUR FRESH WATER RESOURCES AND SOIL QUALITY. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT, THEY SAY~~ AND WHO WANTS TO EAT OR DRINK EXXON/BP/MOBIL’S “SECRET PROPRIETARY FRACKING INJECTION” MILKSHAKES?
Oklahoma — fracking focal point — -is being devastated by earthquakes.
North Dakota Standing Rock Sioux are having to square off with OUR OWN GOVERNMENT to prevent encroachment threatened by the DAPL — A FOR-PROFIT OIL PIPELINE, A TRESPASS and violation of agreements and promises made to the Native American people a hundred years ago, which threatens the Missouri River. DAPL would transfer 570,000 barrels of crude oil across the Missouri River every day.
And we know now it’s a given: IT’S NOT IF the pipeline will crack, but WHEN. The oil companies will not sacrifice profit to maintain the pipelines adequately, and our government has been totally ignoring the problem because of lobbying, campaign funding (and “Foundation” donations.
FOLLOW THE MONEY.
The American people again and again deal with the fallout~ contamination and the aftermath, as people, water, soil and wildlife suffer.
Clinton and Trump have been called self-absorbed narcissistic psychopaths who have no clue — and don’t care — who suffers because of their greed and desire for power.
A Harvard educated, dedicated, mature human being with insight, a thorough grasp of global politics and a sincere love of country — -who owes no corporation or special interest group anything and refuses PAC money.
JILL STEIN is a person of reason and dedication who is aware of real world issues, both national and international, and how they affect ALL people; an American who knows the wars we have been forced to fight for decades have nothing to do with national defense and everything to do with a controlling “elite” class obsessed with manipulation, greed and domination. Jill is a brilliant human being who lives in the real world and has been a compassionate healer for 25 years. She developed serious concerns over a worsening toxic environment that was making us sicker and sicker — politically, environmentally.
America restored to a place of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, economic stability for everyone, educational opportunity that will not bankrupt us or our children, to live in a country whose resources are protected along with our children, a sense of community, not divisiveness~~an America for the first time in over half a century with no threat of war~~that should be the goal of every American.
That is JILL STEIN’S goal. And mine.
