Mounting the Buck on the wall

The doe enticed with with salty phermones

urging the buck into the desert canyon.

When she saw his clouded eyes and mangy skin she leaped and ran leaving the buck confused.

He struggled to leave the desert but hunters alerted by the doe’s bleats blocked his path.

They pointed, they shot and wounded, they shot again leaving a bloody puddle.

They laughed in triumph as the head was mounted on their wall.

The doe lurked nearby, a serial victim ready to lure again.
