If Bill had made even one statement apologizing for bad behavior with women other than his wife, I might have accepted his speech. Just one sentence saying he had made mistakes in his marriage. But, he didn’t. He fell from grace years ago. But there has been no personal acknowledgement of his fall and, therefore, no redemption. His speech fell flat…for me, anyway.
