You can lead a horse to water….I talked, coached, coerced students til my eyes popped out for the many years I taught high school. Guess what? Many of them too heed…some of them didn’t. You can’t “save” them all. They make choices. One of my favorite sayings: “You pay now (follow legal rules, do your homework, get to class) or you pay later (drop out, lousy jobs, low pay, crime).
