How Long Since You’ve Seen a Blimp Overhead?

I saw this blimp while standing in my front yard on a clear day. I’ve seen blimps flying near our Paso Roble house before while I was out on walks, but there were always treetops and buildings in the way to keep me from getting a clear shot. As you can see, this time the blimp was high above all trees and buildings, and also not covered by the clouds. It was easy to shoot, since blimps don’t speed in the air.

Do you see many blimps near where you live? I grew up in Bellfower, California, and we often saw the Goodyear blimp, The Spirit of America in the air. When it wasn’t in the air, it was moored in Carson, California. According to Wikipedia , these airships (blimps) are class B blimps. Goodyear is upgrading their blimps now.
