How much will it cost the (non-silicon salaried) consumer per pound? If it creates a protein that’s affordable to the average consumer, then that’s great. The time and expense saved on slaughtering, butchering and handing could drive the price per pound down.

If it’s exorbitantly expensive and out of reach of the rest of us, then who does it really benefit? Certainly not the environment.
