Despite a math minor in my masters degree, I never achieved enough skill in math to either agree nor disagree with your premise. What I did take away, though, was a strong sense that often being able to construct a proof required having the insight that some specific transformation leads to the desired result. If I didn’t know or see the applicability of that transformation, I had no hope.
Perhaps there’s a greater level of skill than mine before your premise is really applicable.
