Sharing the 6 tips with a working professional

As I am doing an internship at Ptcl and I work there as an Assistant with a Team Leader in a team. The team leader name is Ali Aqdas and he has experience of 3–4 years in Ptcl. When I saw the project and at the same time our team leader’s picture came in my mind and planed that I will share these tips with him because he is an experienced man and it would be easy for me as well to talk with him in a friendly way and will learn from him.

So during office hour I said him that I have some useful tips about boosting the career and want your suggestion and your experience on these. He said sure, it would be great for me as well. Then I shared the below six tips with him one by one and the conversation went on.

Tip 4: Put your time in: Everyone starts out doing grunt work till trust is proven

Tip 5: Don’t talk badly about the company or about your boss

Tip 6: Take control of your relationship with your boss and team members

Tip 7: Find a mentor and manage the relationship strategically

Tip 8: Join a professional body and build your network

Tip 9: Embrace change and reflect on what you are learning daily

He said that I had already faced through these challenges in the past 3 years and learned that if you are even a team leader and if you do not have a good relationship with your boss and the team members then you are nothing.

He appreciated me to share these tips with him and said that these tips will help me too to boost my career. He really liked the tips 5, 6 and 7 more and said that if I was aware of these tips 4 years before then I will have a better position in the company now.

At last he shared his own experiences about the company and our conversation went on through almost two hours and I really enjoyed that conversation and motivated from it and planed that I will improve and boost my career through these tips.
