Why should women alone make the decision on an abortion?
Bob Gallagher

The ultimate decision on whether or not a woman gets an abortion should be up to the woman because it is her body, health, and well-being that are affected by the pregnancy. The man does not have to carry the baby for 40 weeks, attend doctor’s appointments, miss work/school/other opportunities to attend those doctor’s appointments and to deliver and recover from giving birth, or face the social scrutiny a woman faces if she happens to be “too young” or “too old” or unwed or “too poor,” etc. The man involved and the woman’s doctor should not be precluded from the discussion of abortion, but the woman should be able to make the final decision for her body and her life.
