Thank you for sharing this much needed blog about our students who are broken and kicked to the curb. As you stated this dialogue must be continuous and we must be intentional on our efforts to make sure that our students truly receive the education that they deserve. I have had student`s who were “impossible” to reach or to build a positive rapport. It takes time, consistency, and determination to see the results that will change your perspective as an educator about alternative at-risk students. Every student deserves a champion, an educator who will believe in them no matter what!! I want to be a part of the movement that wants to see the school to jail pipeline reduced!!
