Space Facts

Science is one of the subjects that kids learn at school and it consists of several partitions: the one related to the human body, the one related to insects and animals, and the one related to the solar system which is the one I am going to shed the lights on in this story.

Space Facts

Space is also known as ‘outer space’ and this is the expanse that extends beyond the earth and between celestial bodies. Within the word ‘space’ there are several things which kids are always eager to learn more about — it is from where their love for stars came in the first place :-)

Solar System Facts

In space, we bring other words such as the solar system. The solar system is the planetary system of the sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. From the things that orbit the sun are the eight planets which our kids come to learn more about in their science classes, which include Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

Every single planet of these carry its characteristics and is different than the other in its pace around the sun and its distance from it — this is considered important for the kids not just because they need to understand how their world works, but also because they will understand how these might affect Earth which they are part of.

Earth Facts

Do you know what is the biggest planet in the solar system? Do you know which is the smallest planet in the solar system? Kids should know this type of information. ‘Jupiter’ is known to be the biggest planet in the solar system while ‘Mercury’ is the smallest planet of them all.

As much as knowing which is the biggest planet and which is the smallest in the solar system, it is also important for kids to know which is the coldest planet and which is the hottest. Some adults don’t even know such kind of information, so you could also enjoy this story and get yourself well informed ;-). The hottest planet in the solar system is ‘Venus’ and the coldest planet is ‘Neptune’ and even ‘Uranus’ its neighbor is considered so cold as well.

Knowing more about the interesting details between the lines is the best part of the whole story, but you should check these videos because they will inform you with everything your kids might need to know — you could even let your child watch the whole thing on his/her own.

If your child is interested to know more separate information about these different planets, let them check this bunch of videos which I have brought to them in this story, it will help them to get more involved in science generally.
