Introducing Bastard Penguins

Today it’s exactly 2 months since the Bastard Penguins minting: it started 27th September and the collection sold out in 4 hours.

Bastard Penguins is a collection of 9,999 Deflationary Penguins who have chosen to move from their frozen land to support the Penguins’ invasion of the Ethereum blockchain. Each Penguins is unique and algorithmically generated from over 200 possible traits

The Community has grown strong by the weeks, reaching a high of 20k users in the Discord channel.

The Launch Roadmap contains the release of the Sardines Gang free-claim collection, along with Deflationary Merging, Merch Store and a VX collection based on the penguins traits, along with Rarity Tools listing and giveaways.

We chose to open this Medium space because there are many implementations coming that will need a technical explanation. As well, we want to always give our members as much information as possible on all the steps of the project.

The last integration in the project is a Snapshot.org space for the DAO voting, included in the roadmap 2.0 (see below for details of it):

In that space, users will be able to vote on proposals made by the team as well as create their own proposals. It will give 1 vote for each Sardine or Penguin held (at least at the beginning).

i.e. 15 BP + 20 SG = 35 votes.

At the time of writing, the next big thing coming up is the 1st Deflationary Merging Season, that will have the Sardines Gang as a pass for access. Holders will be able to choose which Bastard Penguin token will burn in the process.

Roadmap 2.0 was released on 19/10 and it contains even more important features for the future of the project, having 3 Principal phases:

1st Phase

- DAO start

- 1st Merging Season

- $IGLOO Token (1st step)

- NFTs Staking

2nd Phase

- COMICS: 6 Strips out

- 10,000 Bastard Penguins VX

- Merch Shop Opening

- Big Partnership TBA

3rd Phase (Q1 2022)

- $IGLOO Token (2nd step)

- After the 10k VX will be deployed, a Bastard Penguins land in Sandbox will be acquired.

Once we have our headquarters and 10,000 VX Bastards, roadmap 3.0 will be released and the invasion of the Metaverse will begin.

As DAO, token and staking begins, the project will be much more collaborative and the community will decide its future.

There is no limit to the development of the Bastard Penguins and only the strength of the community will be decisive.
