i almost skipped the article just to read the comments, knowing full well, if it had anything to do with a brotha marrying anybody but a “sista” there would be hell to pay. change the name and the vitriol from the cloud of sisters who circle the internet looking for a reason to swarm would still be the same. i’ve seen it too many times.

what’s even funnier is when the swarm attacks their fellow “sistas” for some transgression or another (e.g. saying something less than glowing about beyonce), but i can’t recall ever seeing a single negative tweet about “sistas” who marry white men. things that make you go, “hmm.”

at the end of the day i’ll probably see birth of a nation, just because, despite the current groupthink, i did read some good things about it. at least that will be 2 less hours on the internet reading “woke folk wars.”
