It’s already in Ruby 2.7, I feel Ruby Weekly mis-titled it by implying it was not already accepted.

element, to me, feels too verbose. [1,2,3].map { |v| v + 1 } seems to be far more common. That said, beauty is incredibly subjective. What one person finds appealing another may find monstrous.

In the responses to this article across various sites I’ve found people who love and hate it. Personally I fall somewhere in the middle. Normally programmers from Elixir, Scala, Swift, Kotlin, and other similar languages are a fan.
