Oh, I totally get the idea of scarcity. And the fact that Dedmon ended up in a better situation for less money isn’t all that unusual. It’s just that whenever folks talk about how someone ended up outperforming his contract, especially relative to his peers, it seems like over half of those guys manage to be Spurs players. At this point, that can’t be a coincidence (LaMarcus Aldridge notwithstanding…) :)
