Retention: small, but powerful hack

Number of active users is another leverage to make key growth loops to work and I will cover this in detail later. Right now I want to share a small, but really powerful hack to improve retention.

Retention: app icon on lock screen thanks to iBeacon

You see a small app icon in lower left corner of my lock screen? It appears when our user is in proximity to iBeacons deployed in a number of US airports. This way user is reminded of our app and can get some relevant information on the airport and special offers from duty free.

We have seen increase in retention thanks to this small feature Apple has provided in iOS 8. Small, but really powerful!
