BAYZ Invests $500,000USD in MetaSoccer, Accelerating the Adoption of Sports in the Metaverse
Today, BAYZ, a leading decentralized gaming organization bringing play-to-earn to people via blockchain-based initiatives, kicks things off with Ronaldinho, directly from Barcelona, as the web3 gaming guild announces its entry into the sports world with a $500 thousand investment in MetaSoccer, the first soccer metaverse where players can manage their own club and generate income while they play.
Funded by the $MSU token, players will be able to earn currency by selling athletes who have been discovered by their scouts, obtaining sponsorship and merchandising income as their athletes gain popularity and winning matches against other players and AI in career and friendly game modes.
Mimicking real life, athletes gain experience and improve their skills as they compete, enabling players to discover diamonds in the rough and show their skill as the premier scout in the league.
As part of the partnership, BAYZ will help support the development of the MetaSoccer ecosystem including the execution of the game’s go-to-market strategy. As the game leading partner, BAYZ will leverage its leading roster of content creators including Nobru, Cerol and Soneca to help onboard players. Additionally, BAYZ will receive in-game integrations such as logo placement on player jerseys and a suite of in-game assets including a leading group of competitive athletes that will be made immediately available to the BAYZ community so guild members can start competing and earning.
