An Artist’s Perspective ft. Orfhlaith

Pale blue clouds, pink stained skies and the soft line where the air meets the land and sea.

Orfhlaith Egan is an Irish artist having her time divided into the two places she has deep connections with — Cornamona, Co. Galway, Ireland and Berlin, Germany. After the completion of her bachelor degree in History of Art in 1999, Orfhlaith had worked and traveled around the world for 14 years before moving to Germany to focus on art full-time.

Orfhlaith’s paintings are inspired by her birthplace in the west of Ireland and the many other places she has traveled. Inspired by poets and artists like W.B. Yeats, Patrick Kavanagh, Paul Henry and Georgia O’Keefe, the artist pays tribute to the world with representational and re-imagined landscapes.

Despite the tight schedule for BBuzzShow@Seoul, our curatorial team has traveled across the world to Germany and visited the artist in person. We invite you to visit the artist’s studio through our video and get to know more about how the artist gained inspiration from her childhood memories at:
