How to find Endless Inspiration?

Oct 1, 2018 · 3 min read

For a newly emerging artist, getting comfortable with the idea of being a serious artist and to an established artist who has piles of commission work and little inspiration beyond a corporate name, art can easily morph from a passion into an obligation. Granted, these contemplations all go towards the creative process but it can be daunting when all you wanted when you first set out was to simply create. And that’s exactly what you should be doing — nurturing yourself while mastering your craft. Not doubting yourself, and definitely not giving up on your creative life.

Our Story by Jang Sohee

From here, the BBuzzArt Movement (BAM) is born. Inspired by the “instructional art” movement by our favorites like Yoko Ono and curator Hans Ulrich Obrist, we want to serve as a platform for our artists to become comfortable with their artistic expressions increasingly. If you are unfamiliar with this movement, it looks a little something like this:

by Yoko Ono

It is lyrical and so unkempt it could be interpreted as many ways as those seeds could fly.

We are looking for artists who can approach the simple prompts in any number of ways that they desire, and overcome their self-doubts and perfectionist standards that prevent them from creating easily and keep the creative juices flowing. If you are stuck in a rut or feel pressured when making art, this is the movement for you. Art does not have to be scary or be in the forefront of the day’s social movement to be memorable, as long as it speaks meaning to someone, that’s everything and more. The more you break the boundaries that you have set up, the freer and easier inspiration will hit you.

Memories that I discover by Paula Isabel

(Take for example, the beautiful work above that I always tend to gravitate naturally to when I feel optimistic about something or need a pick-me-up for the rest of the week. That’s the power of art. It has no standards!)

Every two weeks, we will be giving you art prompts for you to give you inspiration to create. To participate, all you have to do is look at the prompt on our Instagram, create an artwork related to it and upload it with the hashtag, #bamleader. We will share your works with the art enthusiasts on our platform. :)
