Hi everyone, I’m currently preparing for a trip back to Seattle to see friends and family (and avoid the holiday travel madness in a few weeks). While there, I’m free of medication reviews and coding, which is a welcome break. But also, it’s a time to revisit some of my favorite places to eat, drink, and hang out in Seattle. And so, while taking a break from the typical daily grind, I’d like to share some of my favorite places to eat in town. I don’t have fully formed food plans yet, but below is a list of some of my favorite places to eat in Seattle — and some of the spots on the list will get a more in-depth review later next week.

In no particular order, great food lives below:

  • Autumn — best past in town imo. This is a must-visit.
  • The Walrus and Carpenter — it’s harder to find good oysters when you don’t live on the coast. This is my favorite spot to get seafood in town.
  • Tres’ House of Cheesesteaks — mind-blowing cheesesteaks. I think the location has changed since my last visit; hopefully, I can check them out.
  • Sea Wolf Bakery — delicious bakery with good coffee.
  • Local Tide — second favorite spot for seafood.
  • SWeL — all around excellent restaurant. Awesome happy hour deals.
  • Midnite Ramen — favorite ramen in town. Usually can find them at Figurehead brewing.
  • Din Tai Fung — their dumplings are delicious.
  • Seattle Biscuit Company — favorite breakfast spot in town. Huge biscuits. Come hungry. Bonus: I learned to add a small amount of mustard into breakfast sausage gravy after eating here a few times, which sounds weird but really takes the gravy up a notch!
  • Made in House — only been once on my last visit, but it was delightful Korean food! I hope to visit again.

That’s it for my hopeful “to-visit” list. We’ll see how the week goes, but I plan to visit some of these places again and maybe some new spots. Either way, look for more in-depth reviews next week.

Cheers.
