We’ll soon see if Bethesda will Skyrim-ify the Wasteland.

It sure looks as if we’ll soon have a chance to see what Bethesda have up their sleeves in advance of their premiere E3 showcase with regards to a long-rumored return to that alt-Americana Wasteland that hosts the Fallout universe. Kotaku has a report you should look at with regards to the countdown clock not necessarily leading to an announcement, but the beginning of an ARG for the upcoming Fallout title.
Hidden alongside the official block of copyright advisories and the obligatory site map, is indications that tie this particular Fallout title to the leaked material circa late-2013 referencing a Boston-based adventure surrounding a landmark known as The Institute that needed a cast.
The institute in question would undoubtedly be a reference to MIT, which was part of even earlier speculation about Bethesda Software employees reportedly doing background research about the Boston area. In the thread, one Redditor commented on the rumor: “if it’s true that they just started research, then don’t expect to see [Fallout 4] until 2015.”
With the Fallout news scheduled to drop in the next half an hour, I just hope it doesn’t follow in XCOM2's exclusivity footsteps for the sake of the Xbox One I own. (And while we’re on that, MSFT, why are you permitting developers to ignore your future Windows 10 device? Same platform, right?)
