Our Collective Human Experience amplified by Artificial Intelligence

As humans, what connects us all are our shared and collective experiences in this lifetime. What do I mean by our collective human experience? Well, let’s begin by freezing this moment in time, shall we? When I began writing this, it is November 23, 2023, and the time is precisely 12:59 PM, a minute before the hour. In my haste to capture these fleeting thoughts and type as fast as I can, 1 PM arrived, ha! Anyways, let’s pause for a moment and imagine if we could freeze this moment in time, i.e. how ever long it will take you to read through this article. For the next few minutes, we will imagine that we existed in a suspended bubble, where time was at a standstill.

In this frozen slice of time, let’s consider the multitude of lives unfolding across the globe. Each in different geographies, time zones, country zones, and cultural contexts, all simultaneously active. While it is daylight in some parts of the world, other parts are cloaked in night’s darkness. Realize that in this frozen piece of time, day and night coexist. Good and bad coexist. Life and death coexist. People are either starting their days, ending them, or caught in between — each with their freedom, fears, joys, and struggles.

Although every single story is unique in its own merits, the sum total of each individual story makes up our collective human experience. From the farmer in Bamenda, greeted by roosters and children’s laughter, to the boarding school kid embarking on a new chapter, to the family…
