You were perfectly correct in saying that this issue will resonate with many. While I love the life I have created step by step, choice by choice, since the breakup of my marriage, surviving that debacle and the “moving on” process were harder than giving birth, Peace Corps, or indeed, anything I have ever done. You and your wife are to be commended for bringing compassion and ceremony to the inevitable.
