Where Would I Be Today Without AlwaysHired?

Have you ever met someone that went to college and was unsure if they wanted to pursue something in their major? Yes, of course you have, I happen to be one of them. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Kinesiology degree and was unsure if I really wanted to pursue something in Kinesiology because most jobs in that field required you to go back for more education. I’ve been going to school for 20+ years and at this point I wanted to try something different. I looked at many career opportunities but sales really caught my eye, specifically tech sales. I grew up in the San Francisco area and was surrounded by the big tech boom. Who doesn’t want to go into work everyday in a casual environment, catered lunches, weekends off, etc etc.

So I went on the hunt with different tech companies. All these entry level positions required 1–3 years of sales experience preferably in SaaS and/or experience in Salesforce. Then I asked myself, how am I suppose to get this kind of experience when this is an entry level position? This is where AlwaysHired comes in!

AlwaysHired is a tech sales bootcamp that gives you all the necessary tools and information to get a job in tech sales. They start off by teaching you the basics about tech companies from how they are funded to how to get a job with a tech company. Going in on day one I did not even know what a “lead” was, something that is so basic in tech sales. On day four (last day of the bootcamp) I knew what a lead was and how to turn it into a demo. You would think that my biggest take away from this bootcamp would be the information, but in reality it is the support system around it. AlwaysHired does not only teach you everything you need to know, the instructors are all extremely helpful after the bootcamp, during your job hunting and interview process.

During my job hunting process I applied to so many different tech companies and got interviews with so many, but was told time and time again that they loved me but there was just someone who was more qualified that applied. After every interview I checked in with my instructors at AlwaysHired and we reviewed what I could have done better which made me better for the next interview. AlwaysHired always believed in me more than I believed in myself, they always made sure that I had a positive attitude and that they saw so much potential in me and an opportunity was coming up soon. Boy were they right, I finally got an offer letter and would not have been able to get one without the team at AlwaysHired.

Sales is a numbers game and you are going to fail more times than succeed. The most important thing is to stay POSITIVE. During the job hunting and interview process you may get rejected a lot but the more interviews you do, the better you get. When you go in for an interview, go in with the attitude that you have nothing to lose! You already don’t have the job, you want to walk out of the interview knowing that you left all your cards on the table rather than leaving the interviewing feeling like you didn’t say everything you wanted to because you were nervous.

I am writing this because I would like to thank AlwaysHired for blessing me with this opportunity and changing my life. They have been one of the best support systems throughout this whole process and for anyone looking to get into tech sales, I would definitely recommend going through AlwaysHired.
