Fighting for Happy
It doesn’t come easy. It isn’t there when I wake up, or when I go to sleep. It’s not something that shows up on my doorstep, or when I get home. It’s not there in an evening out, an evening in, or the best restaurant. It’s not there in a cabin, on a beach, or in a rolling green meadow. With the pills, the exercises, the meditation, the silence. It’s a battle for happy. It’s trying to put on my gloves, stand proud, think positive, and move forward. It’s realizing the best life moments, the positive relationships, the work life, and the personal life. It’s a battle for happy. It’s never there unexpected. It’s never just on the edge. It’s never just another try. It’s a battle. And unfortunately, you can’t always be in a battle.
