I finally had a chance to post my experience and reflection here on Medium. While I’m a naturally introspective person, and I think deeply, I did find that it was a little hard to walk in my student’s shoes without projecting onto him my own high-school experiences. And I’m not terribly sure of my takeaway except to say that my day pretty much proved that my school is, in fact, pretty great. Yes, there’s room for improvement of all kinds, but it ain’t a bad place to be a student. :-)
