Vecap: Smart Home Security System

The technology of a smart home is no longer something supernatural and is in widespread use. This system allows you to connect to one device all electronic things with a loT-sensor, be it a vacuum cleaner, a TV, an audio system, electric lighting or another, to control them without unnecessary movements.

But hacking one person and stealing all of his personal data, they could not even imagine that this person would be puzzled by the problem of creating protection against these threats. For with the growing popularity of smart homes, he reasoned, the number of victims like him would increase. The team of specialists assembled by him compiled all the information about currently available technologies to protect personal data and presented a project called Vecap.

Project Features

Vecap combines modern technologies of smart contracts and blockchains, on their basis to provide protection for all devices with loT sensors and Internet access, as well as to protect each person’s confidential data. The idea is not new, but this project has its own individual characteristics.

The main goal of Vecap is to help people from encroachments on their privacy, and not to collect as much money as possible and give nothing. The main feature of this project based work is in a simple example:

  • It is given a smart home with all its devices operating autonomously, but located in one common control list from one system. In this case, the hacker is left to crack the common code for the system or find a vulnerability in one device in order to gain access to the entire network. It is this lack of standard protection, or rather, its absence, that makes smart home technology the easiest way to illegally access all personal data;
  • Now given a smart home with the function of protection against Vecap. He connects all loT devices to his decentralized circuit using smart contacts and enters the blockchain. Vecap continuously records and stores all device data and constantly monitors their safety. This method makes hacking an absolutely unattainable goal, since an attacker will have to crack more than half of the blockchain’s chains in order to gain access to only one device. This delays hacking for an infinite time, during which the hacker has repeatedly refused this disastrous plan.

Thus, Vecap shows its exceptional utility in protecting smart home data and is an excellent pre-installed application in all devices with loT sensors. It also allows you to make data transfer between devices faster and more efficient.

Like any decentralized platform on the blockchain, Vecap has a transaction system to pay for services. The internal token of the system is the VC on the Ethereum platform of type ERC20. Such tokens were issued in the amount of 1 billion coins worth 0.12 USD.
