It’s a vicious, self-replicating cycle: poverty of the pocket and of the mind. The politicians understand this well and will do anything to reinforce the status quo because it invariably ensures that they stay in power. The only way to break this cycle, especially at the grassroots where it matters the most, is to somehow find a way to kill poverty via ‘alternative’ means, details of which I will attempt to share sometime soon.
