Goddess Chandi:
Chandi is form of durga who is also called as chandika or Chamunda. She is the ferocious form of durga because of her anger. Chandi represent the whole power. She is the symbol of power. She appears with many hands and lion as a vehicle. The goddess killed many demons for their evil activities. Maa chandi protects her devotees from the threads and danger.
The name chamunda came to the goddess because they were two demons chanda and munda who got boon from the brama to become stronger. After getting that boon the demons became so greedy. They aimed to conquer the three lands of god kailayam, indralokam, bramalokam. So finally they need help of the goddess parvathi to destroy the demons. The goddess parvathi took the form of chandi and killed the two greedy demons.
