My definition of UX
UX, or “user experience” isn’t an occupation. There may be many UX job titles, but user experience for me is a way of thinking. It’s an attitude rather than a particular skill.
“UX” is empathy for the person on the other side of the interface. A passion to make sure that the person can achieve what they need to.
A consideration for the broader experience beyond the moment. Why are they doing this? How can I help them do it? How will they feel after they’ve done it?
All this is combined with an understanding of organisational goals. Balancing business, technology and users.
