I agree that this point shouldn’t be mystified, but it’s more than just an entry in a public database.

Implicit in this is that you have the private key to do so. I say this elsewhere in the post. It literally is just an entry in the public database; how those entries get there is what makes Bitcoin special.

These points are a distillation and in a distillation, you leave out all the details and go straight for the bottom line. I'm sure you understand this!
