Against Using Bullshit in UX Design

Communication and rationalization to defend design decisions is a great skill for designers, but if what you’re defending is bogus, then it’s worthless. It’s definitely ok to admit as a designer that I haven’t actually thought through an argument for every single pixel and hex code. But the fact is, I will if you need me to, or I’ll hear your thoughts as a stakeholder.

I think better than the respect gathered from always having an “answer” is the notion others get of an honest designer who’s willing to take something back to the drawing board or hunt down the right answer.
