Knowledge IS Power
Knowledge Introduction
Knowledge is so important to us all.
It’s a factor that can define us.
If you have no knowledge in a given subject then you can become out of your depth through lack of training and mental capacity.
Or.
You can become a great success by knowing your subject, cornering your niche and teaching others.
And I am not talking the basics here.
The basic knowledge we have comes natural, the ability to read and write, do basic mathematics, make a cup of coffee and tie our laces.
We learn these early on.
The knowledge I talk about is far more advanced.
It’s the knowledge you build through experience, through education, whether that is in university or self-studying.
You’ll never create a retail outlet that sells model aircraft and make it successful if you know nothing about model aircraft.
You’ll never create the exact website you require unless you know how to code.
We also all know where and how to obtain this knowledge.
But, just in-case you and not sure how, I’ll go through it with you now.
I’ll go through how to know what knowledge you need, and where you can find it.
What Knowledge?
Before I go any further with this section, I’d like to tell you something really obvious here.
I do not know you, I don’t know how much knowledge you have already, so my suggestions may seem inappropriate or too obvious for some.
We also all seek different types of knowledge.
We are not all Doctors, we are also lawyers, accountants, mechanics, Engineers, IT experts, the list could go on for a while.
So, the knowledge you seek is defined by you and your interests.
What are you interested in? What career path do you seek?
What hobbies do you have that may require more knowledge for you to get better at it?
This isn’t something I can tell you.
You must know what you want and need to learn to get you the life you want.
Nobody else, me, your best friend, your spouse, your parents your favorite high school teacher, nobody can tell you what you are interested in.
So, where do we find the knowledge we require?
Let us look into it now.
Knowledge Is Everywhere!
University, College, The internet, the library, friends, family.
We are surrounded by places, services and people that have their own set of knowledge that they have built up over they lives.
Places
Places like college and university are specifically designed to give people the knowledge they require to go into the career or lifestyle that choose.
Even your local library will do courses sometimes, or at least have a book to read on the subject you want to increase your knowledge on.
Services
The Internet is full of blogs and forums and other websites full of great information, information created by people who have knowledge in that area.
But I must warn you that the internet can be a place where even the untrained can share their “knowledge” and it just isn’t the right knowledge to be sharing with anyone and needs to be ignored
So make sure your idiot filters are on full when seeking knowledge online.
People
This is a big one for me.
Throughout my blogging career I have come across many people with far superior knowledge than me when it comes to blogging.
I have obtained so much more knowledge from these people than I could from any book.
You have to surround yourself with this type of person.
Join clubs, groups, masterminds!
Learn from others.
To add to this. Think of a personal trainer at the gym,
Why do people hire them?
They are hired for they superior knowledge of health and fitness training.
It’s the same in business. They hire people with the specific knowledge and experience required to do a particular role.
This goes to show that you personally don’t need all knowledge needed. You learn what you need to do your job, and hire others to do things you can’t when you are in the position to hire other.
There are websites like elance.com, freelancer.com where you can hire others for odd jobs, like logo design, website creation, article writing and so much more.
Conclusion
That is it for this article.
I now want you to have a real think about how much knowledge you really have, is it enough to take you to the heights of existence you want?
What can you do to obtain the knowledge?
Go back to university like me?
Use the internet like me?
Surround yourself with people with the knowledge you need, like me?
Go get the knowledge and make things happen, it will make life less scary as well.
