Orange Cream Pop IPA, August 1

|Orange Cream Pop IPA, New Jersey|

Yet another new beer that I am lucky enough to try. This one had me pretty excited. I mean, the name just screams juicebomb. But like they say, don’t judge a book by its cover.

Look: As with many other beers, this had a one inch white head. The color was a burnt yellow with a splash of orange. The beer was a little hazy.

Aroma: Surprisingly, I did not smell any overpowering orange or vanilla. I was able to smell the zest, but it was minimal.

Mouthfeel: For an orange cream pop, it was not creamy or fruity. I could taste the acidity and bitterness in the beer but not much else was going on here.

General Impression: I was excited for this beer but it was a let-down. I was expecting lots of flavor and creaminess and it was the opposite. Although it did not reach my expectations, it was crushable at least. While I don’t care to have another, I am glad I was able to try it, but I am still rating it at barely 3/5.

Orange Cream Pop IPA. 6.3%.
