Cricket is by far the most favorite sport in India and played everywhere. Cricket was first introduced in India by European sailors in the 18th century. The first Indian cricket club was opened in Kolkata in1792.

India’s national men team played it’s the first match on 25 June 1932 against England in Lord’s, London.

The first one is in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev and the second is in 2011 under the captaincy of M.S Dhoni. Indian women’s National cricket team also nicknamed as “women in blue” made their test debut in 1976 against West Indies. Women in blue made their ODI debut at 1978 world cup.
