The crisis in Christianity imho is mainly the fact that whatever your denomination may be the focus of the church is on dogma, intellectual arguments, culture war battles, and religion as a profitable business. People have figured out that all of that is simply empty words and posturing in the corporate America business model. Yes, good works are done, but they are simply an activity the business model engages in. People want to experience the divine. None of the above has anything to do with making space for that sort of experience.
I am someone who left the faith several years ago after 30+ years. I now follow raja yoga as a way of life.
