I’m Alex Beissel and This is How I Work
Location: Duluth, MN
Current Gig: Student at the University of Minnesota Duluth in the Labovitz School of Business and Economics majoring in Accounting
One word that describes how you work: responsible
What apps/software/tools can’t you live without? Why?
Microsoft Word and Excel because they are essential for my classes. Bleacher Report so I can stay up with most recent news in the NFL and NHL. And Snapchat so I can communicate with my friends.
What’s your best time-saving shortcut/life hack?
I write all my homework assignments down in my planner and the time they’re due, and as I complete them I check them off so I know what I have left to do.
What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? What’s your secret?
I think I am better than most at mental math; I credit that to being an accounting major. Or knowing sport stats and fantasy football numbers, constantly watching games and checking out ESPN definitely helps with this.
What do you listen to while at work?
I tend to listen to country artists such as Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, and Luke Bryan. But if I need some motivation I’ll listen to 21 Savage.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to reach the top of the mountain, the view will still be the same”
Where do you find inspiration and new ideas?
I usually find inspiration and new ideas while lying in bed or talking to close friends and family.
What’s your favorite quote?
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky
