The anxiety of this kind is — most of the times — merely a consequence of the belief that learning a trend will give you a toolset to design with successfully; practice says this is a wrong process.

Understanding how design works is key to the success of the design process. This way, having researched and decided for the best approach, the breakdown of the learning process will have a much greater value for the designer.

This does not mean less time spent, but less time wasted!
