Internship is Also A Worthy Experience

A year ago I was looking for an internship program to fulfill my subject as the last year student in college. And it’s not easy for a student with no experience like me to find the job as an intern. I applied to more than 10 companies and only a few of them interested with my resume. But sadly the positions they offered wasn’t suitable with my major so I have to find another company. One day I applied to a company I’ve never heard before, so I came to interview, it went well and finally, they accepted as a Blogger Intern. In my first internship, I learned many things at work about how to work as an employee in a company, what is SEO, how to handled clients and they also paid me even it’s just a transport fee. After 3 months I moved to other company and still working as an intern, a content writer intern. So I started everything from zero again, I have to meet new people at the office, learn new tools but luckily my team was very solid and supportive. They’ve very appreciated my ideas and it triggered me to do more than I ever did, challenged myself more than before. I tried to put myself as a full-time employee and work harder even they just paid me as an intern. Some of my friends said that I’m gonna work as an intern whole of my life because I was always looking for an intern position instead of full-time position. I don’t mind if they call me a senior intern or they asked me what’s the next company I’ll work to as an intern. Why? Because I can get new experience as an intern, I can learn new things as an intern and I can challenge myself more than I know without worry about anything because I’m an intern. Am I ever worried about how’s my next life gonna be? Of course. I’ll graduate soon and once I was worrying myself if I couldn’t find a suitable job with a good paycheck. But I tried to be patient and convince myself that the good works will come with the good results, and if I do more I’ll get more. Finally, after 6 months worked as a content writer intern (and marketing offline intern for a month), I decided to resign and focus on my thesis. But good things happened even when I didn’t ask for: before I resign, some strangers offered me a job (a full-time job!) through Linkedin and Whatsapp. I have nothing except my work experiences as an intern. This is the X Factor that we never know, maybe they just need somebody to fill the empty position or maybe somebody referring me to the job or something else but I still don’t know how they could reach me and ask me to work at their companies. Some people still underrate intern position just because they are an intern. But hey C’mon, internship is also a work experience and maybe they will be a good employee one day because they already have the basic and we can’t build something without the basic, can we? Maybe now I’m just a regular employee in a company but I started everything literally from nothing. I’m proud of myself because I can reach this point and I won’t stop learning. Thanks to my internship experiences.
