100 Days of REAL: Day 33

I’ve always loved volleyball, ever since I can remember. I joined the girls volleyball team as soon as I was allowed to— grade six. I played until grade eight, the highest grade at the time. The tournament that year was one I’ll never forget. Our team won first place. Most times we weren’t very good, but we worked hard — and surprised ourselves in the end. I was the one chosen to accept the trophy. I held it up triumphantly and everyone laughed. I still play volleyball every so often with friends. It’s always a great time. I enjoy the competitiveness, and of course the fact that it’s fun.
