Rey is a Kenobi
Ben Ostrower

(MINOR SPOILERS IN THIS REPLY) I like a lot of this theory, and I think it is plausible. However, I disagree that Anakin being the chosen one is “obviously false” for several reasons, one being that bringing balance to the force and peace to the galaxy are NOT the same thing. The Force is loosely based on Zen Buddhism and the principle of yen and yang. If the light becomes too strong (like an entire army of Jedi facing 2 Sith) then balance would look a lot like order 66. When Emporer Palpatine is seconds from killing the LAST Jedi alive, balance looks like throwing the emperor to his demise. Even after death, (SPOILER HERE) Vader inspired Kylo Ren to balance out the force once again, when he and the Knights of Ren slaughtered Luke’s padawans. Star Wars is the story of good and evil in constant and eternal struggle. Blah blah blah, nerd rage, *adjusts glasses*.

Anyway, I think Rey being a Kenobi makes sense… but I think the more interesting story would be that she is from a Sith bloodline, like Palpatine or Snoke.

Also, keep in mind that Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series (which is cannon) told us the forbidden love story of Mandalorian Duchess Satine Kryze and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. This gives us proof that something Obi-wan truly desired (at least at one point) was a relationship with someone he loved.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
